HANDOVER-ACCEPTANCE TESTING OF BORON CONCENTRATION MONITORING SYSTEM BASED ON NAR-I, NAR-I2 NEUTRON SOLUTION ANALYZERS

From 10 to 12 March the handover-acceptance testing of the boron concentration monitoring system based on NAR-I and NAR-I2 neutron solution analyzers for unit № 5 of Zaporizhzhya NPP was carried out at the site of SRPA “Impulse”.

The main function of the boron concentration monitoring system – automatic continuous measurement of boron-10 (boric acid) concentration in the coolant at NPP units with WWER-type reactors.

During the testing, the compliance with the requirements of the normative documentation was determined, the following checks were performed: quality of manufacturing; operability and correctness of functioning.

The commission consisting of representatives of Zaporizhzhya NPP and SRPA “Impulse” performed experimental checks in the complete scope.

Based on the results of the testing, the commission members stated that the system meets the requirements of the technical specifications, design documentation, normative documentation and is ready to be supplied to unit 5 of Zaporizhzhya NPP.

SRPA “Impulse” is a leading Ukrainian designer, manufacturer, and supplier of highly-reliable instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power engineering and railways.
