On 18-20 February the acceptance testing of the ImPR1 microprocessor relay protection and automatics devices, ESHubU-1 arc barrier devices with ESensU-1 optical sensors, PSensU-1 voltage and current sensors was carried out according to the acceptance testing programme and methods approved by Director of Electrification and Power Supply Department of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia at the site of SRPA “Impulse”.
ImPR1 devices are designated for execution of functions of relay protection, automatics, local and remote control of electrotechnical equipment, monitoring of an electrical part of power plants, substations, distribution networks, and distribution devices.
ESHubU-1 arc barrier devices are designated to detect a short-circuit arc in switching equipment and transmit information on a monitored section into RZA. ESHubU-1 devices have three inputs to connect ESensU-1 optical sensors.
РSensU-1 current and voltage sensors are designated to measure and monitor voltage and transmit data via fibre-optical communication channels into RZA. These devices can be used in 3.3 kV DC and 27.5 kV AC electric traction systems.
During the testing, the compliance with the requirements of the normative documents was assessed, the following checks were performed: for quality of manufacturing; for meeting the safety and environmental protection requirements; for operability and correctness of functioning in all stipulated modes of operation.
The commission consisting of the representatives of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia and SRPA “Impulse” performed experimental checks completely.
Based on the results of the testing, the commission members approved the decision on equipment supply for trial operation at a power facility in one of regional branches of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.
